The special places in The Psychiatric Department Odense have moved into new beautiful rooms and have chosen to decorate with safe furniture from Arkisafe.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to help create a safe and cozy interior design in the new facilities of the special places in the Psychiatric Department Odense. It has been an amazing process where we, together with the skilled and competent staff from the department, have created a safe and pleasant environment for the patients who are about to move in. The aim has been to create a calm and cozy atmosphere with a focus on normalization and a safe environment for both patients, staff and relatives.
The project includes the layout of TV rooms, living areas and sensory rooms.
In the sensory room, foam furniture are placed, which is just for you to lie in and relax sensuously. The other rooms are furnished with chairs, sofas and tables, all specially designed for challenged environments, with safety and normalization in mind.
Special features include that all covers are waterproof, easy to clean and without stitching, which reducing the possibility of storing objects in the furniture. The material is flame retardant (Crib 5 or Crib 7) which is similar to EU/Danish fire test certification DS/EN1021-1.
At Arkisafe, we are passionate about sharing knowledge with our customers and see it as an important foundation for developing solutions and advising on the best solutions. Therefore we are looking very much forward to following up on the furniture in Odense, so that we can receive input and experiences from the first period of use.
We look forward to the day where patients and employees start using the new facilities and hope that the interior design can help create a quiet everyday life.
