From an office to a sensory space, with violence, self-harm and suicide prevention solutions.
At Psychiatric Acute Reception Bispebjerg we have solved an exciting task, which was to transform and transform a former office into a sensory room. An important part of the project was to decorate and occupy the walls so that there was no possibility of self-harm.
The task was to create a space that accommodated both cosiness, normalization and at the same time was preventive in relation to self-harm, violence and suicide.
The previous hard walls were covered with foam and graphics with calm colors. One of the walls had a boxing pad fitted.
To create peace and cosiness in the room, Arkisafe’s unique curtain solution was fitted. A solution that is violence, self-harm and suicide preventive.
