Gødstrup Psychiatry

Gødstrup Psychiatry has decorated bathrooms with anti-ligature solutions for shower curtains and drop-down armrests in patient rooms for bariatric patients.

In order to create a safer and more normalized everyday life for patients and employees, new shower curtains have been installed in all patient rooms at Gødstrup Psychiatry. The solution is with the unique anti-ligature curtain rail, which helps prevent violence self-harm and suicide attempts.

In the patient rooms where there are bariatric patients we have mounted anti-ligature drop-down armrests. The armrests are wall mounted and without ligature points.

The solution has a sturdy hinged arm that can be locked in a vertical position when not in use. It is made of heavy steel for maximum strength and the surface is powder coated for added comfort and to match or provide a nice contrast to the rest of the décor.

The armrest is handled by staff, and can be locked in the upright position when not in use. After use, it is put in upright position and locked by the staff so that it cannot be used unintentionally for self-harm or as a ligature point.
